Welcome! I’m Heather Baxter, a dedicated South Dakota Republican seeking reelection as your State Representative for District 34.
It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve you! As your humble servant in the House since November 2024 (sworn in January 2025), I've hit the ground running, fighting for the issues that matter most to our families and communities in Rapid City and beyond.
My mission is simple: Christ first, others always, while standing to preserve our freedoms and values! Today, we stand at a critical juncture with President Trump—and soon a new Governor—ready to champion the priorities that strengthen South Dakota.
We must continue electing strong, principled representatives who are prepared to fight for election integrity, family values, limited government, and transparency at every level.
The work remains, I am ready, and I will deliver.

With multiple years of hands-on service as a Pennington County GOP Executive Board member, a small business owner in Rapid City, and a mother of two daughters, I bring real-world experience and a deep commitment to our state's values. As a lifelong South Dakotan, I've volunteered at local shelters, my children's schools and events, as well as in childcare ministry at church, because giving back is at the heart of who I am.
As your Representative for District 34, I'll continue championing to make government work better for everyday South Dakotans, and defend the freedoms that make our state great. Together, let's build a brighter future for our great district and state—from one patriot to another, I humbly ask for your support, but above all, I ask for your trust.
